Terms of service
Last updated 6 October 2026
These are the terms for using Autobot, made by Convogenie Technologies Private Limited ("Convogenie", "we"), Infantry Road, Bengaluru, India. They cover the Autobot app (on the web at app.getautobot.app, as the iPhone and Android apps, and as the Mac and Windows desktop apps) and the website getautobot.app. You use the same account, and these same terms, in every version of the app. Autobot is offered only in India. By creating an account or using Autobot you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you use Autobot for a company or firm, you confirm that you can bind it, and "you" includes it. Questions go to support@getautobot.app.
In short
- Your assistant does tasks for you by itself, on its own cloud computer, on the web and in the apps you connect. It doesn't ask you to confirm each step. In chat, it waits for your OK only before it sends a message, posts publicly, or pays or orders through a connected app. What it does for you counts as done by you.
- Autobot is invite-only and available only in India. With a valid invite code you get a 2-day free trial, then it costs ₹3,999 a month, GST included. Renews monthly until you cancel. No refunds.
- Your subscription includes a fair-use allowance of work. If you use it up, your assistant pauses until it resets.
- Your assistant uses AI and can be wrong. Check work that matters.
- Autobot is in beta. Things change and sometimes break.
1. The service
Autobot gives you a personal assistant you talk to in one chat, by typing or by voice. It has its own cloud computer with a web browser, and it can work in the apps you connect, such as your email or calendar. It can look things up, visit websites, fill in forms, draft and send messages, keep notes you ask it to remember, and run jobs on a schedule you ask for. If you connect your business's WhatsApp Business number, it can also reply to your customers on WhatsApp (section 8). The chat shows you what it did.
The desktop apps for Mac and Windows open the same Autobot as the web app and update themselves automatically.
Autobot is in beta. Features change, and things sometimes break. We will keep these terms and the app in step with each other.
2. Your account
- You must be 18 or over, able to enter into a contract, in India, and using Autobot for work, a business or a profession.
- You sign in with a Google account, an Apple account or your email address. Keep it secure. One person per account; don't share it or let anyone else use it.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account, including everything your assistant does for you.
- We can refuse, suspend or close an account as described in section 12.
3. Invites and free trial
- Invite-only. To start using Autobot you need an invite code, usually from a friend who pays for Autobot. If you don't have one, you can request access in the app; we decide each request and reply by email.
- Free trial. When you enter a valid code, your free trial of 2 days starts. The app shows when it ends. We may extend a trial at our discretion, case by case.
- The trial is free and you don't need to enter payment details to start it. When it ends, you need a subscription to keep using your assistant.
- One free trial per person. We may end a trial early if it is being misused.
- Your passes. Once you pay, you get your own code with 3 passes, so up to 3 people can join with it. You see the first name of each person who joined with your code and whether they are on trial or have paid; they see your first name.
- Free month. When all 3 people who joined with your code have made their first payment, you get 1 free month of your subscription, once per code. On the web, we move your next payment one month later. On Google Play, we push your next renewal back by a month. On iPhone, we give you an Apple offer code to redeem in the App Store. You need an active subscription for the free month to be applied.
- Invite codes are personal. We may withdraw a code, or the free month it would earn, if it is being misused.
4. Subscription and payment
- Price. Autobot costs ₹3,999 a month, including GST at the applicable rate (18% today). The price is shown before you pay.
- In the iPhone or Android app. If you subscribe inside the app, Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) sells you the subscription and bills your store account, at the price the store shows you before you buy. Their terms apply to the payment, renewal, cancellation and any refund, which they decide under their own policies. The subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before it renews.
- On our website or in the desktop app. If you subscribe on our website or in the desktop app, Dodo Payments sells you the subscription on our behalf as merchant of record. It collects payment, applies tax and issues your invoice, and its terms apply to the payment itself. If you are buying for a business in India, enter your GSTIN at checkout so it appears on the invoice.
- Renewal. You are billed monthly in advance, and your subscription renews automatically every month on your billing date until you cancel. On our website, renewals are collected through the UPI AutoPay or card mandate you set up at checkout; you will be notified before each debit, as the rules require.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, it is retried. Your access may be paused until it succeeds, and if it keeps failing your subscription ends.
- Price changes. We may change the price. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you, and in the app stores the store also asks for your consent where its rules require.
5. Cancellation and refunds
- A subscription bought in the app: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (in Autobot, Settings → Billing opens them). A subscription bought on our website or in the desktop app: cancel from Settings → Billing on the web or in the desktop app, or by emailing support@getautobot.app. Your subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then stops and is not renewed.
- All payments are final. We don't give refunds or credits for partial months, unused allowance, or time when a connected app, your bank or a provider we depend on had problems, except where the law requires us to. For purchases made through Apple or Google, refund requests go to them under their own policies.
- Once your trial or subscription has ended you can still sign in, but you can't use your assistant until you subscribe. Your scheduled jobs may stop at any time after that, and we may delete your assistant's cloud computer, chats and connections 30 days later, as described in the privacy policy.
6. Usage allowance
Your subscription includes a fair-use allowance of work, shown in the app under Settings → Usage. If you reach the limit, your assistant pauses until it resets, as shown in the app. We set the allowance so that normal use fits inside it, we may adjust it, and we will tell you before we change how it works.
7. Your assistant acts for you
- Your assistant acts on its own. When you ask it to do something, it does it without asking you to confirm, including on websites (for example filling in and submitting forms) and in your connected apps (for example creating, changing or deleting things).
- In chat, the app asks for your OK before your assistant sends a message, posts publicly, invites someone, or pays, orders or buys through one of your connected apps. If you don't approve, it isn't done. This check does not cover what your assistant does in its web browser.
- If you tell your assistant to check with you before a step, it is instructed to stop and ask. Because it uses AI, we can't guarantee it always will.
- When you ask for a scheduled job, you authorise it to run on its schedule, on its own, within what you asked for, including sending messages.
- Everything your assistant does on your instructions, or within a job you asked for, is treated as done by you.
- When a website needs you to sign in, your assistant shows you the page and you sign in yourself. After that, it can act on that website for you within what you ask.
- You can stop a task in progress, pause your assistant in Settings, ask it to change or cancel a scheduled job, and remove a connected app in Settings → Apps.
- Your assistant uses AI. It can misread instructions, make mistakes, and produce results that are wrong or incomplete. We don't guarantee accuracy or any outcome. Check anything that matters before you rely on it, especially messages to other people, money, and legal, medical or tax matters. If a reply is harmful, offensive or wrong, press and hold it to report it to us.
- We can't undo what your assistant has already done in a connected app or on a website.
8. Connected apps and websites
- The apps you connect and the websites your assistant uses belong to other companies and come with their own terms and privacy policies. Connect or sign in only to accounts you own or are authorised to use. App connections are made through a third-party connection service.
- Some apps and websites limit or forbid automated activity, such as automated messaging, bulk actions or data collection. You are responsible for following their rules when you decide what your assistant does there. If an app or website restricts or suspends your account because of how your assistant used it, that is between you and them. We may disconnect an app or restrict a feature if its provider asks us to.
- Apps and websites change and break. We don't control them and aren't responsible for what they do.
- WhatsApp for business. You can connect your business's WhatsApp Business number. Your assistant then replies to customers who message that number and can send them message templates that Meta has approved, including broadcasts you ask for. You can turn replies off or disconnect the number at any time. Meta's terms apply to your WhatsApp Business account.
- You are responsible for having your customers' consent to message them, for what is sent from your number, and for following Meta's WhatsApp Business policies and the law. When a customer opts out, for example by sending STOP, your assistant stops sending them templates and broadcasts until they send START.
9. Acceptable use
Don't use Autobot to:
- send unsolicited commercial messages. Follow the laws on commercial messaging where your recipients are, such as India's telecom commercial communication rules and the Do Not Disturb registry; get consent where it is required, say who you are, and honour opt-outs;
- break the law, infringe anyone's rights, harass or deceive anyone, or pretend to be someone you're not;
- create or share content that sexualises minors, promotes violence or self-harm, or is hateful;
- access accounts, systems or data you aren't entitled to, or collect data in breach of a site's terms or the law;
- process anyone's personal data without the right to do so;
- send malware, probe or overload our systems, work around the usage allowance or other limits, or share, sell or resell your account;
- build a competing service with Autobot, or try to extract, copy or reverse-engineer the models, prompts or tools behind your assistant.
If you break this section we may pause your assistant, remove content, or suspend or close your account, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
10. Your data and ours
- Yours. What you type or say, the files you send, and the results your assistant produces for you belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. You give us permission to store, process and transmit them, including to the providers described in the privacy policy, only to run Autobot for you.
- Your customers' data. The personal data in your connected apps, such as your customers, clients, leads and staff, is yours and you are responsible for it. You must have the right to use it and to let your assistant use it. We process it only on your instructions and as described in the privacy policy, and we will help you delete it or answer a request about it.
- Providers. Running your assistant means sending data to the providers described in the privacy policy, including our AI provider, which uses what it receives only to generate your assistant's responses and does not train on it. Read the privacy policy before connecting apps that hold sensitive data.
- Ours. Autobot, its software, design, name and brand are ours. You get a personal, non-transferable right to use Autobot while you have a free trial or subscription, and nothing more. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
11. Availability
We aim to keep Autobot running around the clock, but it depends on cloud providers, our AI and voice providers, our connection service and the apps and websites you use, and any of these can have outages. We will tell you about planned maintenance where we can. We may change, add or withdraw features, and we may stop offering Autobot altogether; if we do, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, stop renewals, and refund the unused part of any period you have paid us for directly.
12. Ending things
- You can cancel your subscription as described in section 5, and delete your account at any time. In the app, Settings → Delete account deletes it at once. You can also write to support@getautobot.app; we confirm within 48 hours and complete it within 30 days. Deleting your account cancels a subscription bought on our website; one bought in the App Store or Google Play must be cancelled there.
- We can suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if a payment fails, if your use creates legal or security risk for us or for other customers, or if the law requires it. We will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
- When your account ends, your access ends, and we delete your data as described in the privacy policy. Sections 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16 and 17 continue to apply.
13. Liability
- Autobot is provided as it is. We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your assistant will achieve any particular result. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties not stated in these terms.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what your assistant does on your instructions or within a job you asked for; for the accuracy of anything it produces; for the acts of connected apps, websites or the providers we depend on; for loss of profit, revenue, business, data or goodwill; or for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Our total liability to you for all claims together is limited to the amount you paid for Autobot in the three months before the claim arose.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
- You will compensate us for any third-party claim, loss or cost, including legal fees, that arises from your use of Autobot, what your assistant does on your instructions, the data you connect, or your breach of these terms or the law.
14. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using Autobot after that, the new terms apply. The date of the last change is at the top of this page; earlier versions are available on request.
15. Apple and Google
- These terms are between you and Convogenie, not Apple or Google. We, not they, are responsible for Autobot, its content, maintenance and support, and for handling any claim about it, including product liability claims, claims that it doesn't meet a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection claims, and claims that it infringes someone's intellectual property.
- Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Autobot. If the iPhone app fails to meet a warranty that applies to it, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for it; to the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also follow the terms of the store you downloaded the app from. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a complaint, write to us first (section 18); we acknowledge within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days. Any dispute that we can't resolve that way is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka.
17. General
- These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Autobot.
- If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
- You can't transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer them if Autobot changes hands.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- We send notices to the email address on your account. These terms are written in English.
